Trasa Lodge at Wells Gray is located on 30 private
acres on the only road leading into Wells Gray
Provincial Park in central British Columbia. The
main lodge is an 8,500 square log frame building
lodge with twelve guest rooms. The great room,
dining room and lounge will be divided by a large,
custom-designed wood fireplace. Complimenting
the main lodge is one luxury cabin and nine loft-style
cabins all overlooking Grouse Creek.

Activities
Trasa Lodge at Wells Gray Park offers easy access
to an abundance of activities, with something
to offer every outdoor interest. Try birding,
wildlife viewing or hiking on trails that vary
from short meanders to multi-day, backcountry
hikes requiring a map and compass. Explore by
canoe or kayak, or take a guided trip that includes
river rafting, horseback riding, fishing and more.
Learn about trappers, prospectors and early homesteaders
of the area or about the natural forces, such
as mineral springs, waterfalls, and glaciers that
have shaped Wells Gray Provincial Park.
The 110-acre Trasa Lodge at Wells Gray Park is
considered a class 1 moose range due to the local
vegetation, which encourages moose to make this
area their home. The property is also home to
black bears, grizzlies, mountain goats, caribou,
wolves, cougar and many other animal species,
as well as 500-year-old cedars and alpine meadows
carpeted in wild flower blooms of every color.
Location
Trasa Lodge at Wells Gray Park is located in east-central
British Columbia, only minutes away from the entrance
of the world-famous Wells Gray Provincial Park.
Wells Gray Park is B.C.'s fourth largest provincial
park, containing 540,000 hectares (1.3 million
acres) of wilderness. Trasa Lodge at Wells Gray
Park is situated on the only road into the park,
just a few minutes drive from the park entrance.
The park is known as the waterfall park due to
the many falls within the park, such as the spectacular
Spahats and Horseshoe Falls.
Murtle Lake is a canoe-only lake, reputed to
be the largest of this type in North America.
Other lakes such as the Clearwater, Azure and
Mahood welcome boaters and anglers alike, as do
the Canim and Mahood rivers.
Hikers at Wells Gray Park can explore a variety
of terrain, from extinct volcanoes and hardened
lava flows to sub-alpine meadows and majestic
peaks.
Getting There
Driving time from Vancouver to Trasa Lodge at Wells
Gray Park is approximately 5.5 hours. Take the
TransCanada Highway through Hope, past the city
of Kamloops and onto Highway 5. Continue north
on Highway 5 toward Jasper and turn left (west)
on Clearwater Valley Road at the tourism info
booth. The lodge is located about 23 km on the
left side.
The driving time from Jasper is approximately
4 hours. Take Highway 5 south towards the city
of Kamloops. Turn right (west) on Clearwater Valley
Road at the tourism info booth. The lodge is located
