Trasa Lodge at Wells Gray Park
Trasa Lodge at Wells Gray Park is located in east-central
British Columbia, only minutes away from the entrance
of the world-famous Wells Gray Provincial Park.
Wells Gray Park is B.C.'s fourth largest provincial
park, containing 540,000 hectares (1.3 million
acres) of wilderness. Trasa Lodge at Wells Gray
Park is situated on the only road into the park,
just a few minutes drive from the park entrance.The park is known as the waterfall park due to
the many falls within the park, such as the spectacular
Spahats and Horseshoe Falls.
Murtle Lake is a canoe-only lake, reputed to
be the largest of this type in North America.
Other lakes such as the Clearwater, Azure and
Mahood welcome boaters and anglers alike, as do
the Canim and Mahood rivers.
Hikers at Wells Gray Park can explore a variety
of terrain, from extinct volcanoes and hardened
lava flows to sub-alpine meadows and majestic
peaks.
